After attending WebMasterWorld Search Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dan Kennedy (Director of Web Promotion at MonsterCommerce) and I decided to share some important tips and tricks that we learned at the conference.
For those of you who haven't heard of WebMasterWorld, please take a moment and visit the WebMasterWorld.com site. WebMasterWorld is an online forum with members from every side of the Search Engine Marketing Community. In addition to webmasters and search engine professionals, members of the Google team such as Matt Cutts and Yahoo Search team members such as Tim Mayer regularly comment on search engine related issues.
WebMasterWorld conferences started with the simple question: "I'm headed to London, who wants to get together for a pint?" With this simple post Mike Mackin launched the Pub Conference series. Over 125 WebmasterWorld members showed up to have a pint with Mike at the Cittie of Yorke Pub in London. It was a day spent socializing and discussing search engines in an open but smoke-filled atmosphere of a 600 year-old English pub. Everyone who was there was completely thrilled with the outcome.
Since that fated post, six other conferences have been held, each surpassing the previous conference in attendance, sponsorships and educational sessions.
As a result of the 7th WebMasterWorld Conference, Dan and I have put together a series of 6 tips to help you augment your online promotion strategy.
