Google recently released version 2.0 of it's popular toolbar. If you are unfamiliar with the Toolbar, is has excellent features which can be used to browse the Internet, gauge your site's Google Page Rank and many other useful features.
Beta version 2.0 is available for download (takes less than 30 seconds) and includes three new features:
AutoFill: This feature enables you to automatically fill in most "web based forms" with the click of an icon.
Why is it useful? It speeds up web-based transactions and eliminates inaccurate data entry.
How does it work? The toolbar detects and can fill in fields for your name and address (including city, state, zip and country, as well as a secondary "ship to" address), and payment details such as credit card (name, number, expiration, etc.).
Once you have the toolbar, form fields that Google can auto-fill appear yellow. Select which information to include and click the auto-fill button for each field you want to fill.
Is it secure? Your personal information is stored securely on your computer. Your information is not sent to Google or any third party websites. Your credit card data is encrypted and protected by a user name and password defined by you.
Pop-up Blocker: Version 2.0 of Google's Toolbar also detects and prevents distracting pop-up windows. The toolbar blocks unwarranted pop-ups and displays the number of pop-up windows that it has blocked since the toolbar was installed.
Don't want all pop-ups blocked? You can create a list of pop-up windows that you want to see. Press and hold the CTRL key as you click on a link to view pop-ups on a one-time basis.
This means that the toolbar blocks advertisements, but will let pop-ups containing useful information open on the screen.
Blogger Posting: Google invites you to create your own free weblog using its recently acquired Blogger service.
