PayPal Live Site Scheduled Maintenance - January 8th
The PayPal live site will be unavailable while undergoing scheduled maintenance on Thursday, January 8th, from 11:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. PDT. During this time, customers will be unable to send or receive payments or access their accounts.

Payflow Impact

  • Customers using PayPal as their payment processor will be unable to receive or process payments during this window.
  • Customers using 3rd party payment processors will not be impacted.

Action on your end is not required during this maintenance window. Once maintenance is complete, you will be able to conduct business as usual.

FedEX Maintenance Outages in January
FedEx has several maintenance outages planned in January:

Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009: Rating, shipping, account validation, dispatch and tracking services will be unavailable beginning at 9 p.m. CST until 1 a.m. CST on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009.

Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009: All systems and services will be interrupted beginning at 9 p.m. CST until 3 a.m. CST on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009.

Please make sure you have another shipping method in place such as a custom method during the January 10th and 17th outages. If you are using only FedEx, your customer will be unable to complete checkout during these outage periods.

Robots.txt file update
On November 21, 2008, the E-Commerce Team will be placing an entry in the robots.txt file of your Ecommerce site.
This is an effort to prevent the search engines from crawling links to the “search results page” which can result in unnecessary search engine traffic to the search page.

This change will not have a negative impact to search engine rankings and will not require interruption to your site. In addition, it is anticipated that this will improve performance for your customers and their shopping experience.
